Samantha and Jared met in Dallas at dinner with a group of mutual friends in February 2021. Jared had just recently moved to Texas from Atlanta, Georgia to finish graduate school, and Samantha recently graduated from Texas A&M University. Jared proposed to Samantha at Rosemary Beach, Florida when they were on vacation with his family in September 2021. As a surprise, he flew her parents and best friend out to watch the proposal so they could all spend the week together celebrating!

Ideas & Inspiration

Samantha was inspired by a whimsical garden party. Marissa Schulz of Lilies & Co. Florals blew the couple away with neutral arrangements and bushels of baby’s breath. Adding to the inspo, Samantha asked her bridesmaids to find floral-print bridesmaid dresses in neutral colors. “They all came together so beautifully,” she said. The couple’s most memorable personalizations came in the form of signature lattes crafted by Hive Coffee Co. The coffee bar was a big hit. And in honor of their Georgia roots and to make their out of town guests feel right at home, Samantha and Jared served mini peach cobblers as dessert. Yum! PRO tips & TRICKS Samantha’s secret to planning is #weddingplanningwednesday! To try and keep stress at a minimum, the couple decided to reserve all planning conversations for Wednesday nights. And to avoid making a million decisions for the big day, they hired Rachel Giles from Honey & Co. Weddings as their planner. “[Rachel’s] ability to remain calm and [wild creativity] was the perfect combination,” Samantha said. “Her intentionality with details, and desire to incorporate unique things about her couples into their wedding day is what sets her apart!”
