Tallia and William grew up attending the private Fort Worth Country Day School from Kindergarten through 12th grade, but didn’t start dating until their sophomore year of college.

Since they love fly fishing, William planned a trip on the river. Little did Tallia know, he was about to ask her to marry him. As she turned to him in the water, he was already down on one knee!

Ideas & Inspiration

With only three months to plan, Tallia and William began piecing together the wedding of their dreams. Since she couldn’t decide what colors to use, they decided to use colors from a piece of art in her parents’ home. They used bright, vibrant colors for the florals and decided to tie flies to the groomsmen’s boutonnières to pay homage to their love of fishing.

Tallia and William hired Abbie Oswalt, who worked alongside Tallia’s mom, to plan their wedding. Tallia knew she could trust her mom and Abbie to bring the wedding of their dreams to life.

Tallia didn’t have high hopes of finding the dress of her dreams with so little time between the engagement and wedding day. Walking into Neiman Marcus, she grabbed a Carolina Herrera dress, thinking nothing of it. When she slipped the dress on, she just knew it was the one!

Moments & Memories

Tallia knew she wanted colorful butterflies and flowers incorporated into her bridal look. The butterflies and flowers etched into her veil were a unique and personal touch to her bridal look. “Originally, I wanted a colorful gown, but with the three-month time crunch and people swaying me away, I had to pivot,” Tallia said. “Once I thought of the veil, I was sold.”

The tent over the Joe T. Garcia’s parking lot and the neon sign of their monogram were their most worth-it wedding splurges! One of her favorite moments of the day was being able to sit alone with William after the ceremony. This gave the couple a chance to take a deep breath and enjoy one another’s company before diving back into the chaos of the day. She even describes their first dance as a blur!
