f we are truly meant for each other, God will show us the way.” That’s the note Luke wrote Lynden when they broke up in the 10th grade, neither knowing that, many years later, that very note would be on display at their wedding. From childhood crushes and first kisses to a post-college reconnection and continued love story, Luke and Lynden’s story is one for the books.
Luke proposed to Lynden on her family ranch over Easter weekend. Lynden, being a professional model (and a previous cover model for 360West Weddings), thought nothing of it when Luke set up a photoshoot on the ranch. A wonderful surprise proposal and family celebration set the stage for a joyous wedding season to come.
360 COVER GIRL Each welcome bag contained a 360West Weddings magazine with Lynden as its cover bride. DREAM DANCE On each place setting was a story Lynden wrote to explain their first dance, which was inspired by a dream she had of her dancing to “La Vie en Rose” by Louis Armstrong, unable to make out the stranger’s face until years later, when Luke spontaneously took her hand in real life to that very song. She commissioned an art piece from her close friend of the dream dance, which was printed on the back of the story cards.
Fast forward to Lynden and Luke’s elegant springtime wedding, and similar thoughtful touches permeated every aspect of the wedding weekend. Each of the guests received a handwritten note from Lynden, and, in an intimate ceremony, Lynden’s cousin read their grandmother’s poem, “My Plea.” A surprise that brought tears to the groom’s eyes was one of their favorite songs, “Invisible String,” being played as a lovely piano instrumental as Lynden walked down the aisle. The framed wedding portraits of 28 couples were on display with a sign reading, “Your marriage inspires us.” Lynden’s favorite wedding moment was surprising Luke, who developed his crush for her while she was singing in the seventh-grade talent show, by performing a song for him at the reception. “When I changed into my second dress, I made an entrance on stage and will never forget the look of happiness and excitement on Luke’s face as I sang ‘Can’t Take My Eyes Off You’,” Lynden says. “It was a total blast!”
CELEBRITY SIGHTINGS Friends from her time in LA and over the years as a professional model, celebrities at the wedding were actor Glen Powell (“Top Gun”), actress Liana Liberato, songwriter Kendall Potesta, Singer Sophi Bairley and singers/songwriters Carly Rae Jepsen and Leslie Powell.
