Carley Costner & Taylor Magee
Carley and Taylor tied the knot at Roots Fort Worth, located between downtown Fort Worth and the Stockyards, which provided a picturesque setting for their garden-themed ceremony, adorned with abundant blue florals that perfectly matched Carley’s vision. Carley shined in an elegant satin dress and a blue sapphire, a cherished heirloom from Taylor’s grandmother. The reception continued the garden party ambience with florals cascading from the ceiling, creating an enchanting atmosphere reminiscent of an actual garden. Unique touches included personalized stationery and the three-tiered, blue-smeared cake designed by their venue. Join us for an exclusive Q&A with the bride as we dive into the details of their special day.

The Love Story
Taylor was actually my first kiss in the 8th grade! We ended up reconnecting as adults and immediately hit it off.
The Proposal
We were talking about getting married, but he still caught me off guard with the proposal. He proposed in an intimate setting, and I loved every second of it.
The Wedding Venue
Roots was the perfect location! Close to our house and right in the middle of downtown Fort Worth and the Stockyards. We loved it!
The Vibe
I was really wanting a garden wedding with heavy touches of blue. It turned out exactly how I wanted!
The Photography
Kate Panza — her photography style is so dreamy! Light and airy with a natural feel.
The Dress
I wanted a simple satin dress for the wedding.
The Accessories
I wore the blue sapphire that came from his grandmother. It’s my husband’s birthstone and very special to me.
The Wedding Rings
We chose gold rings!
The Hair and Makeup
I wanted a long hair look with soft makeup!
The Stationery
Our stationery matched the garden theme with heavy touches of blue.
The Florals
Our venue/wedding planner did all of our florals! They turned out so beautiful.
The Morning Of
The morning of my wedding my sisters and I met in my hotel room where we all got ready together. It was very special to spend that one on one time before my big day.
The Ceremony
I was so nervous walking down the aisle! It was such a beautiful ceremony with all of my friends and family there.
The Reception
It continued the theme of the garden party with florals hanging from the ceiling and all along the table. I felt like I was in an actual garden. I loved it!
The Planning
The planning, decorations, food, and flowers were all handled by my wedding venue and wedding planner!
The Cake
The cake was a three-tiered cake with smears of blue. My wedding venue and planner designed it with the bakery!
The Food
We had food catered from Reata, which was very special to me since it’s a Fort Worth staple!
The Favorite Moment
After marrying my husband, we had a special moment between the two of us while we waited for our guests to move to the reception area!
The Honeymoon
We spent a week in the Bahamas!
The Advice
Don’t stress the small details! I handed it off to my wedding planner and it relieved so much stress. Your wedding will be amazing because you’re marrying the love of your life!
